Founded in 1955, their purpose is to provide member, coaching, record and competition services to all affiliated archers and clubs across the two county areas and also promote and encourage the sport of archery in its various forms (except bow hunting which is illegal in the UK).

Herefordshire Short Mat Bowling Association is seeking a volunteer to take on the role of Secretary. The Secretary performs a vital role managing the interaction of members, clubs and the county committee with each other and with the national governing body.

The Secretary attends approximately 10 committee meetings per annum (held in Ross-on-Wye) with an additional workload averaging 1-2 hours per week with a peak in August / September ahead of the main short mat bowling winter season.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, computer literate individual to make an important contribution to a small county sports association.

What's The Opportunity?

We're looking for positive, energetic people who would like to help us run the 'Our Day Out' sessions. Tasks will include:

- Joining in with the creative workshops, welcoming the participants and gently encouraging them to join in.

- Liaising with the professional artists, helping them to complete their session reflection logs after sessions.

- Supporting participants to complete their 'Our Day Out' journey logs to track their opinions and sense of wellbeing.

- Helping to support the set up and clear up before and after the sessions, and serving refreshments to the participants.
