Fitness & Active Leisure Workforce State of Mind Survey

Workforce State of Mind 2021 Survey

CIMSPA have recently launched a national survey to litmus test mental health at every level of the fitness and active leisure workforce, in association with Workplace Mental Wealth.

The survey, designed and managed by Workplace Mental Wealth, invites anyone, employed or self-employed, working in the fitness and active leisure sector, to complete a short survey exploring their mental health. The survey is available now via a link on the Workplace Mental Wealth website and will be live until mid-February 2021.

More information on the survey can be found on the CIMSPA website and the results will be made available for download from the Workplace Mental Wealth website in due course.

Are you a qualified tennis coach or know of anyone who is and is looking for work? If so then look no further!

The Coddenham Centre are seeking an enthusiastic qualified tennis coach to work independently with their manager and community to engage with all ages to coach on their courts, in particular a coach who would be willing to create an active tennis club/school for all ages and perhaps a holiday club for children.

The Coddenham Centre opened in 2004 by Princess Anne and the facility was transferred to a new Charity – The Coddenham Centre Charitable Incorporated Organisation in November 2019. It intends to ensure a sustainable future for the Centre and offer dedicated leadership and management to work with the community for the benefit of all.

They have two artificial surface tennis courts available all year round which can be booked direct through their interactive diary to both members and non- members. The popularity of outdoor tennis during the earlier lockdowns has increased their membership with regular users of the courts. The Centre has toilet/shower facilities available for coaching/club sessions.

For more information or to apply for the position please contact: Gail, the Centre Manager.

Interested parties must have relevant qualifications/insurance and DBS checks

Promote your Activities using our Activity Finder!

Did you know that Active Suffolk have a function on their website which may support you to promote any virtual sessions you are offering during this period?

We have an activity finder on our website which allows you to add and promote any face to face or virtual sessions you are offering your local community. This promotion is free and managed by yourself, although our team can offer some support should you need it.

The activity finder also uses open data which means that your sessions will also appear on other websites activity finders across the country which helps to extend your reach, which is particularly useful whilst your sessions may be virtual. In order to upload your classes to the website, simply visit www.activesuffolk.org and click on the login/ sign up icon in the top right hand corner.

Once you have created an account on our website you will have the options to add class details by clicking on the dashboard once you are logged into the site. Once here, select my profile where you can add information regarding your qualifications, memberships you hold etc, plus club or organisation details. It is here where you can add details of the regular face to face or virtual classes you deliver.

If you have any questions on the activity finder please contact us at info@activesuffok.org
