How are you all?
As we enter Week 9 of the restrictions placed upon us, that has no doubt had an impact on all of our lives, we hope you are all keeping safe and well and making
the most of the sunny weather by getting out and about a bit more now since the Government relaxed some of the restrictions last week.
In this update we will share some important workforce news, hopefully that will benefit all of you in one way or another. Please feel free to pass this on to any
colleagues or friends who may find the information useful

Support for Suffolk Clubs
|
With the support of the Sport England Community Emergency fund, we're pleased to announce that 67 Clubs across the County have currently been successful in
receiving various amounts of funding to support them through the pandemic and beyond. In total, Suffolk Clubs have received almost £250,000 worth of
funding which is great news!
NOTE: From midnight on Thursday 14th May, the Community Emergency Fund was paused by Sport England in order that assessors can process any outstanding
applications currently in the system. It will not be possible to submit a new application after this time.

Some Positive News for Suffolk's Workforce
|
|
Some positive news, I'm sure you are already aware of is that following the lifting of some restrictions in England, the government advice for personal trainers and
coaches is that you can now work with clients outdoors, providing you are alone and only meeting with 1 person from outside of your household, outdoors, and you are
staying a minimum of 2 metres apart.
You can meet with different clients in a single day as long as it is only via one-to-one sessions and you are maintaining social distancing.
You should also enforce strong hygiene measures. This might be cleaning any equipment rigorously in line with wider guidance on hygiene, for example by using antibacterial spray and washing
hands thoroughly before and after use.
Don't forget to make the most of PlayWaze, the free activity, competition, membership and payments tool for organisations, coaches, clubs and
groups. You can advertise any of your virtual classes / activities free of charge. For more information and to add your live streams see our website.
