Top tips on managing your wellbeing from local Yoga Instructor Angie Lee- Foster

Staying fit and healthy is a whole body and mind experience. In these difficult and stressful times we might be prone to anxiety and worrying what lies ahead. But we can only really live in the present moment. I have recorded some meditations and practice sessions which you will find on my website to help you calm your mind and ease your body. Along with these sessions I recommend:

  •   Limiting your news intake to just once a day
  •   Do some movement that you enjoy
  •   Get out in nature
  •   Be creative and healthy with your cooking
  •   Connect to others (even virtually)

New locations for the Active Wellbeing Service in Suffolk

Heading

It is said that if physical activity was a pill, it would be classed as a wonder drug, however too many of us do not take the recommended dose. An increase in physical activity alongside a healthy lifestyle helps you look after your heart, maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of serious illness and strengthen muscles and bones. It can also reduce stress levels and lift your mood. The Active Wellbeing service works to support patients from surgeries across the county to achieve their physical activity goals in a way that suits them and their needs.

This month, the Active Wellbeing Service has officially launched in three new locations across Babergh and Mid Suffolk. The service which supports inactive patients aged 50+ is continuing to be delivered for patients of the Two Rivers Surgery in Ipswich, but the team have now launched in Eye, Glemsford and Holbrook & Shotley.

Due to the current pandemic, the service has been adapted to offer patients in each location video calls or telephone consultations until face to face appointments can resume. If you are from any of the surgeries listed, you can sign up for support today by clicking HERE
