Angling Trust introduce initiatives to get you fishing under Sport England 'Uniting the Movement' strategy

Angling Trust has several exciting new initiatives which support Sport England's Uniting the Movement strategy. These programmes can bring wellbeing and education outcomes to the diverse communities you work with.

Get Fishing Events - www.anglingtrust.net/getfishingevents

Get Fishing is the Angling Trust's headline participation campaign to get more people fishing more often. Each year we support hundreds of events for all ages and abilities. Get Fishing have-a-go events are for anyone who wants to get into fishing, get back into angling or find out where to go fishing, who to go fishing with and what to use. Get Fishing is funded by the Environment Agency, Sport England, Angling Direct and Shakespeare Fishing Tackle.

Get Fishing for Wellbeing - www.anglingtrust.net/getfishingforwellbeing

Get Fishing for Wellbeing helps Social Prescribing Link Workers and the public to find out how going fishing can help with loneliness, inactivity, social-isolation and maintain mental health. Our 'Get Fishing for Wellbeing Approved' delivery partners have safeguarding and insurance in place as part of a 21-point safer-operator audit. Social Prescribing Link Workers can be confident their patients will have a great experience of angling. Get Fishing for Wellbeing is funded by Sport England
