Have your say on the development of new sports facilities in Stowmarket

Mid Suffolk District Council, Suffolk County Council and Stowmarket High School are all working together with a number of local partners to improve and expand the sports provision in Stowmarket.
We want to hear from you: the local residents, students, community groups and clubs that use the facilities at Chilton Fields. What do is most important to you? How can this space be improved? And do you want more, or different, ways to keep active?
In addition to the space for rugby, cricket, football and tennis, we have made plans for:
- a new sports pavilion
- a wellbeing hub
- four new indoor sports courts
- a 4g football pitch and 2g multi-use pitch
- artificial cricket square and nets
- a mini athletics track
- and games area.
The plans also include improvements to the parking provision and pedestrian crossings near the site. We hope these changes support the development of the clubs that use this space and make it more inclusive, encouraging more people to get active.
