Active Suffolk are working with West Suffolk Hospital to offer a Health Coaching training course which provides community practitioners, link workers, activators etc. with new mind-sets, communication skills and behaviour change techniques that transform the practitioner – patient relationship and enable patients to become more active participants in their care.

On this course, you will learn a combination of tools and techniques you can use every day to support people with behaviour change. These include further developing your listening skills, exploring the use of rapport and challenge, as well as how to align meaningful goals to motivate and encourage the people you are working with. You will learn how to talk to people in a way that supports and empowers them to better manage their own care with greater independence and self-confidence, fulfil self-identified health goals and improve their quality of life.

The Health Coaching training is delivered over two days, one week apart: the 10th October 2019 and the 17th October 2019. Both training days run from 9:15am - 5pm.
