About Suffolk Disabled Angling Forum
These sessions have proved very popular and are an enjoyable experience for everyone taking part, including the volunteers and carers.
At present we use Woody's lake, Middle Farm at Barking Tye, which offers excellent facilities for our disabled anglers including easy access to swims, parking close to the lake, on-site toilet and a safe environment to fish in. The lake contains a large population of carp to 7lb with roach and perch also present. We are very grateful to Gipping Valley Angling Club (GVAC) for allowing us to use their water for our sessions.
We guarantee you will catch!!
We have experienced qualified coaches and volunteers in attendance at all our sessions throughout the year, who are on hand to offer help, support and assistance. All of them are registered and where required are DBS checked.
All equipment & bait is provided for the session but if you wish to use your own equipment then feel free to bring it along.
Angling is very therapeutic for people with disabilities, and the equipment we provide makes it very easy to use, we're sure that you would enjoy a day out with us.
Membership is open to all disabled persons. The current annual membership fee is £10.00. We also offer associate membership, (Price on application). If you are interested in joining then please complete the membership form attached.
Members wishing to take part in the SDAF coarse fishing sessions are asked to pay a small fee of £6.00 per session. This helps cover the cost of bait and the upkeep of equipment. If you require transport to and from the venue, then this can be arranged for an additional fee of £7.00.
