About Scarborough Disabled Swimming Group (SDSG)
SDSG is a registered charity in the UK (1125170) which facilitates swimming for the disabled in Scarborough and the surrounding areas. We meet on alternative Saturdays between 18:00 and 19.30 at Scarborough Sports Village. Many members join for all sorts of reasons, including swimming for: Recreation; Rehabilitation and Sports & competition.
We are run by a small board of trustees and volunteers and are always on the lookout for more help and support. Most recently we have been developing a small Gala Team to compete at both regional and national level in the Special Olympics GB.
We are affiliated with NASCH, National Association Swimming Clubs for the Handicapped, in addition to working in partnership with: North Yorkshire Centre for Independent Living, Scarborough Borough Council and Scarborough and District Sports Council.
