Active Lives: Children and Young People Survey
Active Suffolk is working with schools in Suffolk to conduct the Active Lives: Children and Young People Survey.
The world-leading survey measures young people's involvement and attitudes towards physical activity and sport across the whole country, providing a pioneering approach on gathering data on how children engage with sport and physical activity. This survey is supported by Sport England, the Department for Health, the Department for Education and the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport.
Each term, a number of schools are randomly selected to take part in the survey, with the aim of getting 100,000 children and young people in Years 1 to 11 to complete it each academic year across England.

If your school has not been selected to complete the Active Lives Survey you can still take part in the survey, however the sports equipment incentives will be unavailable for these schools, although they will receive the bespoke report as well as the Healthy Schools Rating.
Schools who participate will receive a bespoke report outlining their survey results, which will cover measures of their pupils' activity levels, physical literacy, swimming proficiency, wellbeing, self-efficacy and levels of social trust
Schools will also receive a Healthy Schools Rating to celebrate the positive actions the school is delivering. Please follow the URL for further information on the Healthy Schools Rating Scheme
Schools will also £100 worth of sports equipment from ESPO's Incentive Brochure.
Once a school has reached the minimum number of responses required, Sport England will notify ESPO that the school is eligible for its incentive. The school will then be contacted by ESPO regarding their incentive.
Finally, each school that takes part will be given a bespoke report summarising their own results from the survey.
