I was drawn into the misconception that outdoor activities were only for men, but I am now part of a wide range of women encouraging other girls and women to get outside and enjoy the outdoors.

Seeing big outdoor brands focus their marketing on powerful athletic men meant that I had not seen many women championing outdoor activities such as multiple day/discipline challenges, climbing, paddle boarding or even just walking so I believed along with many other women that I wasn't meant for these activities. There is now a growing community of powerful women kicking these stereotypes out and showing other like-minded women there is space on these adventures for all of us.

The benefits of physical activity in the outdoors not only improves my physique but helps me to battle mental health issues giving me an outlet to be myself and collect my thoughts. As well as being able to share stories with people in the same situation who I would never have met had it not been for exploring these outdoor activities.
