Active Suffolk believes that the welfare and safety of adults at risk is of paramount importance and that all adults at risk have the right to protection from abuse and to take part in sport and physical activity without risk of harm.
Active Suffolk has adopted an Adult Safeguarding Policy, Guidance and Procedures document. This document provides useful guidance, further information and useful contacts for all organisations involved in safeguarding adults at risk. The document can be accessed below.

Safeguarding Adults: Top Tips
It is good practice for sport and activity organisations to create, adopt and implement an adult safeguarding policy. Ann Craft Trust and Club Matters have worked together to provide an introduction video to safeguarding adults and top tips video below.
Sports clubs and organisations should ensure all of their committee members, leaders, coaches, members and participants understand the foundations of implementing the policy and understand how to spot and act upon concerns.
The video discusses the key principles of safeguarding adults, including empowerment accountability and protection.
