The Activity Volunteer Programme

The Activity Volunteer Programme supports young people to become future volunteers and develop their skills to complement their wider education journey.

Created by Sports Leaders SLQ in collaboration with Active Partnerships, the programme offers an accredited learning pathway for young people aged 13 and over with a focus on building transferable core skills.

The course is made up of six fun bite size learning sessions to engage learners and introduce them to the five transferable skills needed for volunteering and employment:

  1. Self-belief
  2. Communication
  3. Problem Solving
  4. Teamwork
  5. Self-Management
